Frequently asked questions
Do you have an office in Uster?
No. Our studio is at Dienerstrasse 19 in Zurich. Uster and the Oberland are, however, part of our regular working area. We usually hold meetings at your place anyway.
What does an architect cost in Uster?
The same as in Zurich. For a whole project usually 10 to 15 percent of the construction cost, for advice CHF 120 to 180 per hour. Travel is charged fairly and stated before the quote. More in what an architect costs.
Do you also take on pure carpentry jobs in Uster?
Yes. Roof structure, carport, pergola, interior fit-out or a repair. You do not need an architect for that. Rafael is a trained carpenter and builds such work himself with his team.
Where do I submit the planning application in Uster?
With the building authority of the town of Uster. The procedure follows the cantonal planning and building act, the details are set by the town's building and zoning regulations. We put the application together and submit it. How it works is explained in the guide to building permits.
